Bill Bogaard

As a four-term mayor, Bill Bogaard was the longest serving mayor in Pasadena’s history. He began his career in a private law practice in Los Angeles and served as Executive Vice-President of First Interstate Bancorp prior to his election in 1999 as Pasadena’s first directly elected mayor. He served as Visiting Professor of Law at the Michigan Law School from 1996 to 1997 and as “Practitioner in Residence” at USC School of Law from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Bogaard graduated from Loyola Marymount University, served in the U.S. Air Force, and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.
