What motivates you to advance California Competes' mission?

I moved to the United States seeking educational prosperity. I dreamt of the opportunities a college degree would present. But upon moving here, I quickly realized it would be a tumultuous path. Despite succeeding academically, I personally experienced the difficulties of navigating a complex educational system and hope to alleviate this burden for other students. Everyone deserves an education; it is the foundation of sustainable change for all communities.
