California Competes cited in Mercury News Op-Ed on CA Master Plan for Higher Education

/

“By 2025, California Competes estimates that our higher education system will need to produce an additional 2.4 million bachelor’s degrees, associate’s degrees, and industry-relevant credentials above current projections for the state to remain a leader within the United States and be competitive on the global stage.”

California Competes was pleased to support the California State Assembly’s second convening of the Select Committee on the Master Plan for Higher Education in California on November 1, 2017. Dr. Lande Ajose provided testimony on California Compete’s research into the looming 2.4 million degree gap facing the state by 2025 and its implications for the state’s workforce needs.
