Roger Niello is a businessman and public servant. A certified public accountant by training, he joined his family’s business at Niello Auto Group in 1974 and spent 25 years running retail automobile dealerships with his family partners. After serving as the president of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, he was elected to the Board of Supervisors and eventually the California State Assembly, where he served on the Banking and Finance, Budget, and Transportation Committees. Throughout his public service, Mr. Niello has put his business skills to work by promoting legislation to produce a better economic climate. In the Assembly, he helped craft legislation to spur economic development and job creation while promoting budget reforms such as a spending cap and rainy day fund to prevent future budget crises. He also authored legislation to cut waste from government and reduce the regulatory burden on small business.
