Association of Institutional Research’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System Educators Web Conference

Executive Director Dr. Su Jin Gatlin Jez and Senior Researcher David Radwin presented the California Postsecondary to Prosperity Dashboard and research to the Association of Institutional Research’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Educators on September 17, 2020. IPEDS, data collection conducted each year by the U.S. Department of Education from virtually all U.S. colleges and universities, is frequently used in higher education research, including as the basis for a number of metrics in California Competes' Postsecondary to Prosperity Dashboard.

At most postsecondary institutions, institutional research staff are the employees with primary responsibility for collecting and submitting these statistics to IPEDS. The Association for Institutional Research is the professional association for these staff.
