At Edtrust-West’s Education Equity Forum, California Competes Executive Director Dr. Su Jin Jez joined a panel of partners to discuss advancing cross-sector collaboration for student parent success. Kenya Abner, California Competes summer fellow also joined the panel to share her experience and perspective as a student parent (and grandmother).

Today the California Community Colleges Board of Governors announced that Kern Community College District Chancellor Sonya Christian will be the system’s new chancellor. Through her leadership to date, Dr. Christian has showcased a commitment to advancing equity and promoting student success.
