Your Input Is Needed on California’s New Data System

/

Dear friends, colleagues, and partners,

I hope this finds you safe and well. As a member of the California Cradle-to-Career Data System’s Policy & Analytics Advisory Group, I’d like to invite you to answer some critical questions related to the development of the data system. Though operating remotely, the California Data System team has continued its essential development of the data system—and this is an important chance to support that work.

Earlier this month, WestEd held a series of webinars to demonstrate different functionalities that could be part of the first phase of development, including electronic transcripts, analytics tools, and social services access.

Recordings are available online, and I encourage you to watch all five and share your thoughts with WestEd through a quick survey. You can access the webinars and supplemental materials here and the survey here. Through the survey, you’ll have an opportunity to weigh in on what types of information would be most helpful, particularly in the aftermath of the coronavirus.

Your feedback on developing public-facing data tools will help ensure the state builds a valuable, comprehensive statewide longitudinal data system that serves a broad range of stakeholders as California works to recover from the many impacts of COVID-19. To follow project updates once you complete the survey, sign up for the California Data System listserv.

Thank you for your support!

All the best,

Su Jin Gatlin Jez, PhD
Executive Director
