Lift Up Degree Completion Strategies for Adults with Some College But No Degree

California can address labor shortages and significantly reduce its credential gap by targeting older student populations, particularly those who have started college but were unable to complete their postsecondary education. Nearly 7 million of California’s adults have a high school diploma but no college degree, with four million having some college education and no degree. Strategies to advance this population will also help to reduce the persistent achievement gap in educational attainment for low-income and underrepresented Californians.
