California Competes has enhanced its Postsecondary to Prosperity Dashboard with new metrics and features, further supporting policymakers and leaders to make informed decisions and effectively tackle inequities across the state. For this session, CEO Su Jin Jez showcased the updated features and moderated a thought-provoking panel discussion among speakers representing K-12, higher education, and workforce; and how they leverage data to drive decisions within and across their respective sectors. Panelists include:

  • Carl Cohn, Professor Emeritus and Senior Research Fellow at Claremont Graduate University, and former superintendent of San Diego Unified and Long Beach Unified School Districts
  • Valerie Lundy-Wagner, Vice Chancellor for Digital Innovation and Infrastructure at California Community Colleges
  • Loren Kaye, President of the California Foundation for Commerce and Education

Together, they delved into the practical applications of data-driven decision-making and share their experiences and the impacts they’ve seen.
