In California, 300,000 undergraduate student parents enroll in college each year. However, their backgrounds, family characteristics, and educational experiences are not well understood, particularly at the state level. So, we sought to paint a portrait of the student parents in this state that is more comprehensive, accurate, and timely than previous efforts. The goal is to create a foundation for informed decision-making for improving state, system, and campus policies and practices. The full report will be published later this year but we created an infographic as a preview to the more comprehensive report.
