On Monday, August 21, California Competes published a new brief and hosted an engaging conversation with the leadership of the California Cradle-to-Career Data System (C2C). Together, we delved into the role of user-centered design (UCD) in establishing a data infrastructure that not only advances California’s education and workforce goals but also fosters accessibility and engagement from all stakeholders.

Participants gained valuable insights into C2C’s approach and plans for integrating UCD throughout the data system’s design and development. Furthermore, we’ll shared insights from the new research brief, offering lessons learned from the development of California Competes’s Postsecondary to Prosperity Dashboard and actionable recommendations to elevate the C2C development process through UCD. This session included a dynamic exchange of ideas, followed by a live Q & A session, that explores strategies to shape an inclusive and data-driven future for the state. Watch the recording here.
