In September, Michelson 20MM Foundation hosted “Forging Equitable Futures for Student Parents: A Statewide Summit.” California Competes co-hosted the event’s welcome reception with Education Trust – West to soft-launch the California Alliance for Student Parent Success, a coalition focused on supporting student parents through research, policy, advocacy, capacity building and community engagement. During the summit, California Competes also presented two sessions, one focused on student parent data collection and other focused on the Alliance. Read the learnings from this summit here.
