As part of our LA2CCC project, focused on enhancing career readiness within Los Angeles County’s 2nd supervisorial district, we brought together all five partners, including Compton College, El Camino College, Los Angeles Southwest College, West Los Angeles College, and Holly Mitchell’s workforce development team, to identify a set of challenges and opportunities related to career readiness to work on together. Through productive small group sessions, we identified three projects that the group could pursue collaboratively.

This convening served as a remarkable platform for relationship building and goal alignment, particularly as some college presidents and representatives had not yet met. To capture the essence of the event, please find pictures from the event here

Moving forward, California Competes will provide ongoing support and study the progress of our pilot partners as they work on these exciting projects.
